As Night Falls on Venice

The first image from my Europe 2008 series which will be uploaded over the coming months. I shot over 4000 frames so it will be a while before I get through them all. This shot was taken along the Venice canals in late August just before nightfall. In Venice, you just wander around and come across scenes like this all over. Magnificent old city.
